Scifest Africa tours the Western Cape
11th June 2012

Scifest Africa will be implementing a combined science show and workshop tour in the Western Cape from 11-15 June 2012 in collaboration with the Systemic Education and Extramural Development Support (SEEDS). The daily programme will consist of a science show followed by a workshop titled "Science in a bottle" presented by Ms Rudi Horak from Sci-Enza based at the University of Pretoria, South Africa

The science show and workshop will primarily focus on experiments using recycled 2L plastic bottles and will showcase how 2L plastic bottles can be used in pratical ways at home and in the classroom

"This combined initiative of a science show and workshop will be a collection of fun experiments and thrilling creations using only bottles! Using the simple medium of bottles is very effective way to convey scientific concepts as learners can easily relate to the bottles, for they use them in their everyday lives, and this also helps them to repeat the experiments at home and practice”, says Sci-Enza’s Rudi Horak.

Space is limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
